Speaking and Events
Dirigo speaks and trains on digital accessibility for municipalities, councils of governments and the public sector, and every session comes back to whether people can actually use what their government puts online.
MMA 90th Annual Convention
Your Vendors, Your Responsibility: Managing Third-Party Accessibility Under Title II
- Date and time: Thursday, October 8, 2026, 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM
- Venue: Augusta Civic Center, Augusta, Maine. Room: Lincoln/Oxford
- Presenters: Daniel Filson, CEO, and Jason Day, Chief Accessibility Officer
Most of what residents use to do business with their municipality is bought, not built. Permit portals, bill payment, agenda platforms, job boards. Under Title II, responsibility follows the service, not the vendor’s code, so a purchased tool does not put accessibility outside a municipality’s control.
This session gives attendees a concrete checklist for managing vendor accessibility from procurement through contract to post launch review, so the tools residents rely on stay usable long after the purchase is signed.
