Who we are
Dirigo Interactive LLC is a digital accessibility consultancy based in Portland, Maine, in the United States. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@dirigointeractive.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us. If you fill in our contact form or email us, we collect your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell us.
- When you book a conversation. When you schedule a call through our booking links, you provide your name, email address, and meeting details. Scheduling is handled by Notion.
- When you sign up for our newsletter. We collect your email address so we can send it to you. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Information we collect automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. It collects usage data such as the pages you view, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), and your device and browser type, and it uses cookies or similar identifiers to do so. We have set Google Analytics to retain data for 14 months and have turned off its cross-device signals. We also use Google Search Console, which reports how our site appears in search results. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To schedule and hold conversations, and to deliver the services you engage us for.
- To send our newsletter, if you have signed up.
- To understand and improve how our site performs, through analytics.
- To keep our site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
Legal bases (for visitors in the EU and UK)
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases to process your information:
- Consent, for analytics cookies and for the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests, for responding to your inquiries, running and improving our business, and keeping our site secure.
- Contract, for delivering services you have engaged us for.
- Legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or process information.
Cookies and your choices
- Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work and are always on.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help us understand how the site is used. For visitors in the EU and UK, these load only if you accept them through our consent banner.
You can accept or decline analytics cookies through the banner when you arrive, change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookie preferences” link in our footer, and control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business:
- Google, for Analytics and Search Console.
- Notion, for scheduling.
- HubSpot, our customer relationship manager, where we keep contact and client records.
- Our email and newsletter provider.
- Our website host.
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
How long we keep your information
- Contact and client records: for as long as we need them for our relationship with you and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
- Analytics data: 14 months.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dirigointeractive.com. We will not treat you any differently for exercising them. Where applicable, we honor recognized browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Children
Our site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
